I’m Aaron Gilkey, a passionate graphic designer, photographer, and the Media & Relations Coordinator at Metropolitan Emergency Medical Services (MEMS) in Little Rock, Arkansas. Since 2022, I’ve been happily married to my husband, Dillan, and we share our lives with our two dogs, Shelbie and Finley, and our newest addition, a cat named Cosmo.
Before joining MEMS, I spent eight years serving as a 911 telecommunicator and supervisor in Yell and Pope Counties, all while continuing my education at Arkansas Tech University. During that time, I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design and a Master’s in Student Affairs Administration. My professional journey started in design and public communications at Arkansas Tech’s marketing department, where I contributed to various university publications and projects, which helped me hone my creative and strategic communication skills.
At MEMS, I get to combine my passion for creativity with my background in emergency services. I oversee both internal and external communications, focusing on building strong connections with our community and stakeholders. I’m also an active member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), and I’m committed to staying engaged with industry trends and expanding my knowledge.
Outside of work, I love spending time on the lake, camping, and taking photos—especially of planes taking off and landing at the Little Rock Airport. I cherish life's simple pleasures, especially when shared with Dillan, our dogs, friends, and loved ones. I believe in embracing life’s adventures and finding joy in everyday moments.
I am fascinated with aviation and love to fly, making it my preferred method of travel whenever possible. Click the button below to follow my flights.
